Looking for rarer Asian catfish suggestions that are relatively decent in size. Would be housing with my C. lopis.

had looked into hemibagrus but they seem to be far too aggressive for the 75 at the moment.

just looking to see anything that would be interesting to add to the collection.

Korean bullhead?

Asian bumblebee, Hemibagrus nemurus sold usually as albino ARTC - not too aggressive IME, harlequin lancer, Asian clarias spp.

Catfishes from the families Cranoglanididae, Siluridae, Schilbeidae, Clariidae, Akysidae, Amblycipitidae, Heteropneustidae, Parakysidae, Chacidae, Pangasiidae, Plotosidae, Ariidae, Sisoridae, and Bagridae can all be found in Asia.

Are there non albino of hemibagrus nemurus? Or is that the original look of the fish

Planet Catfish says Asian bumblebees grow 65 cm long. Isn't that a bit....big for a 284 liter tank?

In my experience the fish generally sold as Hemibagrus nemurus doesn’t grow above 10” but I personally believe (with no sound scientific evidence other than ownership of many hemibagrus and bagrus species) that there are a couple of similar albino species both sold as the same fish, and the less typical variety seen only occasionally reaches 18-24”.
Many of the hemibagrus and bagrus species look VERY similar when young.
Similarly, some of the sizes quoted for hemibagrus and bagrus species are still very much changing. For example, hemibagrus variegatus grows much larger than 5”. Mine is currently 18” although one reason that they may be thought to only grow smaller is that at around 9” they start to lose the lovely variegated colouring and by 12” are a standard drab grey colour.
For a non albino version of hemibagrus similar then go for filamentus which again IME doesn’t get above 10” although others may have a different experience. ( think koltsixx koltsixx may have owned this fish too)

Of course but I've never seen one for sale. What's for sale are culls from Asian food fish farms and these are all albino. Read this if you wish for more: https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/posts/7642518

I am not sure what fish you meant. I am guessing you are looking into South American bumblebees. I had meant Pseudomystus siamensis and similar: https://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=708

Also I make no assumptions about what SourAngel can and cannot keep, because I don't know. :) For all I know (s)he may have huge tanks or get huge tanks in a few months to a few years. :)

Interesting, thank you, I've never known "albino nemurus culls" have been known to rarely reach such great sizes in the hobby.

Are the variegatus and filamentus rather docile versus the benchmark aggressive Hemibagrus spp? I'd say nemurus is definitely is IME. The experience of others may differ.

I’m really open to a lot of suggestions. I am capable of keeping much of anything as long as it stays under 3 foot imo. I would like to have a smaller cat but if it happens to exceed the expected in a few years, I will definitely be prepared for upgrading
