hey suckerfish, this catla sp. is better than the catlocarpio, they are absolutely unique and first time in this country, just wait and see the picture, they're about 5" right now.

Here is a picture of the tor pitutora, the sharp nose masheer, streamlined predator grows to 6 feet

we have small 2" ones, 4" ones and here is a picture of an adult from JJ's photos

Puntius jerdoni

A great schooling fish, peaceful and gets to 12" so more to show for than the roseline sharks, and hardier. This fish is rarely if ever offered here in the United States.

adult Etroplus canarensis these are Rare indian chromides, found in a single river, only caught a couple of times a year.

While identifications of specifics are difficult with these fish, these were shipped to me as
Tor tor, most of these fish grow to 4 feet plus in the wild, with gold metallic scales size of your hand. They use muskrats as baits to catch them, and until 2 years ago, I've never seen them offered for sale anywhere in the world!!!! When you get super rare fish do they go straight back out the door?

Or do they sit around for a while before someone buys them?

hmm...depends on who I talk to, and quantities. some fish are one and only, and some I like to keep for myself, and some sell out quickly, so did I answer your question?

this is the one that got my attention, it has mirrored scales like a koi, the fish in the genus are all fully scaled, you make the judgement, catla is the genus!
