Full size they can reach 60" found in the yangtze river in China and farther up north, hardy fish, and will attack my fingers when it gets a chance, not skittish or shy at all. To my knowledge there are only two ever imported into the United States.
Once upon a time it was considered as a pest fish, because they would prey on the local "food" fish, but now they are being protected and reintroduced into several lakes and river systems, but due to the increased industrialization of China, the pollution rate is so rapid that they may never rebound. I've seen some pictures of fisherman pulling out 5 feet long specimens! I'll post some pictures up once I find them.
That is a Lutjanus argentimaculatus, they do occur in australian waters, but this particular one is from the ocean around Singapore. They are also found in Africa!Voltzy;608984; said:
