here is an update on my theory with the few different species of Bagarius sp.

Just got these yarelli in, 8" small one and 18" big brother! compare these with the latter, which is possibly bagarius rutilus or something completely different. These fish are from Thailand/Burma boarder. My past Bagarius yarelli were all from India.

According to some field scientists, the true bagarius bagarius does not reach 12" in the wild, and grows very slow. I've received some in the past at Rare Fish that stayed small for a whole year, and some of you may have bought some and still have them can update on that subject, also a picture would be great.

here is the new one, look at the anal fin, they're almost glowing orange yellow, the pictures cannot capture the color, and the black and yellow is real distinct on the body. the larger one that I have is close to 15" so, I'm guessing its not a bagarius bagarius, is it possibly rutilus?

Hey Wes. It's been a while I'm sure you wouldn't remember me but I thought you and our fellow MFK folks would appreciate some rare turtles that I have had in my collection. Hi to all my local east coast buddies as well. Hope you all enjoy.

I have to say that I never owned this guy becasue i didn't want to pay the money for it at the time, but I do regret not buying him.
