We have these in the UK just recently, they are called Nandus sp Slaty blue, as you know they can take large food items but like Siniperca they also die if fed too much, just had one die lastnight. Got mine on brine shrimp and river shrimp, even frozen shrimp. Not sure how big they grow, mine are about an inch to an inch and a quarter. Don't seem to be growing very fast, how big did yours grow to?

Thanks for the update and excellent information Rich, you should take some pictures of yours and share them here, I'd love to see it! And the store you shop at must get some really rare fish!!! Unfortunately I don't have mine anymore, but the larger ones got to aprox. 3" at one time, which was pretty hefty for them I believe!
 
thanks oddballer for the fish in the past and present, and the pictures, hope we can find more rare fish in the future to keep us excited!

Thanks oddball for the picture, and an update with flash is a must, I wanted that fish SSSOOOO bad!

I might open up on Saturday again in the near future, its being debated now.

Platycephalus indicus does just fine in water with barely any salt in it, I've never killed any of them, besides them eating each other!!!
