Rarest until heard of cichlids

I've been having a difficult time finding Astronotus crassipinnis. TUIC got them in once years ago. They all sold to one buyer who said the intention was to breed them in the US and offer up the young for sale. Never happened.

My favourite rare cichlid that I really want but can't get is astronatus rubrocellatus from Rio Negro. Impossible for me to get in Australia, but then again, a lot of things are.

Really?? I'm setting up an oscar tank. Was planning on getting a normal red tiger oscar but in that case maybe I should get a long finned one and post it up!
Never seen people post about long fin oscars.. I know about them seen them but not on here

True albino Oscars are quite rare, 95 percent are Lutino Oscars on here...
Not sure what I had it was 15 years ago. I just remember my dad telling me it's very rare. He used to own a pet shop and always been a crazy fish guy. He has two koi ponds a 900 gallon and 500 gallon all salt reef tanks with rays and all sorts of oddball fish. His rays even bred which is unusual in captivity I'm assuming in saltwater

vale tail oscars , not a fan but have few board friends with them.

I remember seeing one YEARS ago at a LFS that isn't around. It was about 8" and $400. I remember asking myself who would be stupid enough to spend that money on an oscar. Funny how things change, because I often find myself wishing I had bought it.

true albino Oscars, true albino will have pink, no orange in the eyes, no graying on the pectoral fins.

there is not allot of difference between a lutino and a albino except for the eyes. and graying on the fins. and there site and light sensitivity.

A "true" albino oscar by definition has no pigment. None. Nowhere. Not on the body, the tail, the fins, or the dead giveaway - the eyes. They are extremely rare and valuable.

Therefore it will have no red on the body like lutinos.

There are even some "albino" veil-tailed (long finned oscars)

Although this is not a "true" albino as there is pigment in the eyes and tail.
