well when i buy shrimp i buy it by the bundles from costco unshelled and raw. Since i buy multiple pack of shrimp the extras are kept in the freezer until future use. I realized that the shrimp in the unopened bags tend to get somewhat dry (freezer burn).

Basically my question is, is it safe to feed my fish freezer burned shrimp? i currently been trying to cut off the freezer burned parts but i feel as though im wasting alot of shrimp. thanks:D

Freezer burn is safe, it's just dried out(after all we feed freeze dried food to fish)

thats not even the same thing! Freeze drying works by freezing the material and then reducing the surrounding pressure and adding enough heat to allow the frozen water in the material to sublimate directly from the solid phase to gas.

i dump anything thats freezer burn, its quality sux

if you have this problem then I would take all the rest out of the bags and put them in ziplocks.. When you do this fill the ziplock with ample water to not bury the shrimp, but cover it , when you close it make sure there is little to no air in the bag for best results :) :) Then throw them back int he freezer :) You shouldn't have this problem anymore. ;)

My solution is similar, I take a serving size groups of shrimp and put them in small tupperware containers or milk cartons, top off with water, then freeze, being completely encased in ice prevents freezer burn.

you can also dip into cold water and throw into a cookie sheet to individually coat each shrimp. also easier to pick out a reduced serving (as opposed to trying to crack a block of ice)
