Raw Shrimp for Pleco

I have had an unidentified Pleco for @ 9 years. He is about 8" long. I put some raw shrimp in the tank for him last night, but he didn't appear to eat it, although my Tiger Barb enjoyed some...How long should I leave the shrimp in the tank?

I would take any uneaten food out in the morning.

mine love it, but dont leave it in for more than 12 hrs or your ammonia will spike high

try lightly steaming one see if it makes a difference. Yeah you lose some nutrients (not that much) but I have found all my fish, including my 3" pleco, eat shrimp much more aggressively when its been steamed, not sure why maybe the texture.
