Bad water will cause this. Use stress coat. What do they use in Iceland to treat your water? They have to use something like chlorine or chloramine
Nope, nothing used to treat the water here, and no contaminants. Only bad thing I can imagine about the water is that it's a little soft, but with a relatively high ph, so ph tends to drop a little after the water has been sitting for a while.

I'm going to see if I can't change the substrate to sand sometime soon.

Female seems to have slowed down, but now the male is swimming all over the tank, crashing into things and acting kind of weird like the female did...

Active ray or sick ray?

Pic of the female:

She's doing this from time to time, but never curling the whole "circle", like the classic death curl I've seen in pic, they're both really active, like swimming in open water and moving around alot, something they haven't been doing until now. Both of them ate a little shrimp today, but this weird behavior is really bothering me.

If I was you... i would put declorinator in anyways.... i find it very odd that a country would not put clorine in thier water to keep parasites out...

is she eating something? i see hip bones showing
Yes, she's always eaten, and even ate today. However she's never put on quite as much weight as the male has done, so I suspect she came with some parasites. However I'm not sure how to treat that, alot of the medications talked about here on the forums I have never seen here in Iceland, but feel free to shoot any suggestions, I'd really like her to pull through.

The water has been filtered though the earth for hundreds of years, and it's pumped up from more than a mile deep. Believe me, there's no parasites in there :) There's a reason why Iceland usually is in the top5 lists of the purest tap water in the world.
Oh and besides that, I probably couldn't even buy declor if I wanted to, I've never seen it in any stores here.
