Just from my experience a 75 gal tank would probably only last you 6 months to a year. Also these fish are best kept in groups as they like to school and seem less skittish then when kept single. i currently have 3 in a 150 grow out bought them at 1.5" there all around 7" now about 3 months later. i expect them to grow well over 24" once i get them in 1000gal tank this spring.LittleBigAl3;2499765; said:nice one!! doesn't seem to have a very big callous. im planning on getting one for my new 75 gallon tank in a week. is this a good start for one that will eventually go into a wider tank of 18 inches?
like i said, once he gets too big for it i will either buy a bigger tank or give it away. thanks for the comment.bbrtmad;2499912; said:Just from my experience a 75 gal tank would probably only last you 6 months to a year. Those are Pangasius Sanitwongsei/Paroon Sharks, I believe.Knowdafish;2501673; said:I saw a school of them outside of Manilla at a place that specializes in Koi. All of them where over 24" inches, with some pushing 30". I think they were feeding them all of their culled Koi. They get HUGE and get way hyper when fed.
