Rebuilding 265 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Our tank visibly moves too much in the joints. As such any fix will be a bandaid until we rebuild it. Haven't been able to gather enough able bodied men to pursue the reconstruction. If your tank isn't literally falling apart like ours just redue the inner silicone.

have you considered building a plywood tank and using one of the glass panels for it?? resealing big glass tanks can really be a pain in the ass. i did 4 old 125 gallons with my father when he set up his hatchery. but we ordered new plastic braces for the top and bottoms of the tank, and used 90 degree clamps to hold everything in place along with some good old erwin squeeze clamps

So we finally tore the darn thing apart, was a real chore and the guitar string we used kept snapping. The design is to use the front panel on a plywood build and use the rest of the glass to make another 15" tall stock tank that has a footprint of 84 x 24.
