Sorry to bump but always loved this post. Also,
Q: what was the height of the glass at water surface? I'm still wondering/pestering re. structural capacities of 12mm (1/2") tempered glass, albeit in your case mitigated risk by being out-doors & nearly lawn-level.

This is such a beautiful set up! I love how you put the glass up so you can see them and they are safe but they can still jump.
I like that too, I love it when people make set ups where fish can naturally jump (which is something they do). It's also nice how they can catch dragon flies too, I had a similar set up for killifish that jump.
