I Have 5 Red F1 Wild caught Frontosa. I will ask him more about them.next time I see him. I have never seen or heard of them.bwfore I saw them.in his fish room. they are still babies so.are being kept in our community tank for now. He told me they are very rare and unheard of.
No way you have wild red fronts. They are an aquarium line bred strain.

I bought them as f1 wild caught red fronts Bro.
Don, you may have bought them as such, but either the seller is a con artist, or they were terribly misinformed, as no such variant exists in the wild. They are as James stated, an aquarium line bred strain.

He told me they are very rare and unheard of.
This thread is 11 years old, this strain has been kicking around the hobby for a long time, but to be honest they simply never became popular as most hobbyists prefer their natural blue coloration.
