Don't get me wrong, your fish looks very nice, but as you can see it's not much different than the one so called "ren mien" shown in that photo. Asian breeders are famous for making up names for every line bred - inbred - hybrid batch of fish that they come up with, and then surround the entire topic in some kind of magical mystery.

If I was to price him - I'd put him at $3,000 - $3,500. That's a red ingot...decent but not yet high quality in my book. Real nice fish though either way.
but this is the fish that won grand champion in taiwan in 2010 o_O

Yeah I can believe that in its category for the size. Most competitions don't go "Open Class" often anymore due to the unfair challenge. It's like having a dog at 3 months standing toe to toe against one at 2 years to try and claim their title. Unless it won in a National Show or Open Class Category - then it would be a highly prized fish. :)
