Red tail catfish are jerks

You are correct but, I believe, because you are reading it from our side of the fence, bro. It's no biggie, anyway.

***End of answer***
***Read the following at your leisure***

In case you are wondering what I meant, I meant that writing, just as speaking, politely, with consideration and tact takes aim at minimizing the chance of conceivable misinterpretation by the receiving party.

For instance, a curt answer in the imperative form coming from a complete stranger is heavily impregnated with possible misinterpretations.

On the other hand, this is not a day care either - I am not arguing to be touchy feely, dance around subjects, etc. but for simply being polite. As we do when we speak. Most of us anyway ;)

Boy, did I digress :(

....so what I'm hearing is...I shouldn't have likened a red tail eating tank mates to a fat kid eating oreos....damnit... hahaha I get what you are saying however.

I liked your picturesque analogy :) but my comment was general, not directed at anyone or you in particular.

The best, most wise and well-intentioned advice but given in the wrong form, going back to my example, in the form of a bare, military-style order, can be an instant turn off and will be amiss. It has its place, surely, but this is not an Army (this has nothing to do with you being apparently an Army guy, purely coincidental :) )
