Red wolf fish tank setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also, can it eat giant danios I had to put all my gosh in that tank just to hold them while I move my other tank and I can’t catch the danios now. I don’t even want them but I can’t bring them to my fish store as it is closed and they don’t like if you bring in a fish species they don’t sell.
It can eat the danios. Just be cautious with live food. Wouldn’t ever feed it.

Depends, My wolf is housed with Tetragonopterus Argentina (2-4") and he doesn't seem to mind them but he houses down minnows. So its 50/50 if he's big enough might try and take them.

Hi, I have a forty breeder and will get a red wolf fish once my LFS opens back up and orders the fish. How should I set up the tank.
Sand or gravel
What kind of decor natural or artificial
What to feed it
How to not over feed it
Floating plants or not
What kind of filter(internal, sponge, or HOB)
What color sand or gravel compliments it best
How to feed it(tongs or drop food in)

Sand for sure, natural or artificial is interchangeable except for floating plants which are necessary and I have had trouble finding artificial floating plants. If it's young try and feed it pellets, just so that it becomes an option in the future (they will be more picky as an adult, but if you feed them pellets when they are young they are more likely to accept as an adult) I would recommend brine shrimp as an adult, since they love em and are really cheap and easy to nurture. I just feed mine until his belly looks a little full, and I have hang on the back filters. I am partial to black sand, but they look great with anything :D. I just drop food in, and he'll eat out of my hand sometimes (it's really cute) just watch out for his teeth in case he misses lol.
