Redeyes are beautifull fish, I wish someone would start breeding them and selling them online.

There are some nice spotted bass down here though :)

bass from rainbowrunner arrived dead folks, i am getting a new one from him/her

Just found this thread. That box was pretty mangled, your postal workers are very disgruntled to handle a box that way. Seriously, though it looks like it got caught in a USPS conveyor belt. These things sometimes happen, sorry it had to happen to you, i know you were looking forward to getting this fish. Luckily, i have a very good DOA policy. I'll replace the fish out of my own pocket, just pay actual shipping. Most sellers don't/won't do that. This DOA clearly wasn't my fault, but when you buy fish from me it's nice knowing I got your back no matter what. Let me know how the replacement arrives.

Hello; For many years I would catch a small bass on hand tied top water fly rod lures. I did not know what they were. A PBS TV show called Kentucky Afield had a program segment about them on Saturday. They were coosa bass and found in KY only in a small lake in Harlan County. This was my primary fishing lake.
The next time I caught one, I took a good look. It had a tooth patch on the tongue and the white trim on the fins. A pretty copper color to the body. The largest I ever caught was around ten inches or so. I always use barbless hooks when fishing and would release the fish.
I never considered keeping them in a tank. I moved about 50 miles away and have not been back for about three years, but there was a healthy population then.

Hello; you don't have to type hello every time you post. :werd:

Thanks fish042099, got any pics of your new critter to share? I wanna see how he fared the 1,300mi trip. Remember to keep him jacked up on feeder guppies or he just may go med-evil on his tankmates asses.
