30 gallons are long, good for ground dwelling critters. Tokays need a tall enclouse.

Yea I agree, with them being arboreal they could really benefit from a taller terrarium. Also, they aren't the best for beginners.

As a general rule of thumb: Cheap pets are usually the hardest to take care of. I don't know about you guys, but they sell Niles, Tokays, Iggys, Burmese, Retics, Rough Greens, Anoles, etc cheaper than most, if not all, of the hardy and recommended ones.

looking for something that is very active anything, i am looking at getting a green snake are their any other reptiles (no more snakes) that would work well

Might be a small pond for some babie fish

I would do a Ball Python. Perfect size to keep it in for life.
I'm sorry I couldn't help but comment on this. A full grown ball python can and most likely will reach 5 feet and about 9 - 15 inches at it's thickest point. A snake of that size could barely even fit itself in a 30 gallon tank. Not trying to flame your or anything just wanted to clear the air. I understand why you would think a 30 gallon is good for a ball because you rarely see them at a pet shop when full adult size.

i still say tokays,,i think they are high enough for arboreal lizards.
