RES turtles and fire bellied newts good tankmates ?

Want to know if Red ear slider turtles can be kept with firebellied newts ?? The newts r 3" each.. The turtles i wanna get r around 2".. How fast do RES grow ?

They grow fast, and they will nip/bite on the newts tails and feet. Not really a good idea.

Turtles tend to be poor tankmates with critters they can eat.

No, newts are too small and will get eaten.

No way! Pick one or the other. The out come of pairing both these animals together will not be pretty.

Ok.. So i would have to get a small tank to put the turtles until they r big enough for the big tank..

And has anyone heard of albino soft shell turtles ?? I just saw a couple of them for sale ?? About 80$ US, for each...

I have a similar question. I have a baby EPT at about and inch and a half. Does anybody know of ANY animal OTHER than turtles or fish that coexist with him? Will a garter snake eat the turtle as well as nests, or will the turtle attack the snake?
