i believe old japanese and chinese used the same symbols.

the college student thing is HILARIOUS IMO I think people who get things they don't even know about deserve it. As for winnie the pooh I dunno about that lol. College student or not unless you can write in chinese characters you should not get one on your body. Maybe if you are chinese and never learned it would be ok.
 
lol that would be great. I agree with the japanese symbols... not sure if i'd have dont the inmates stuff though.
 
It happens all the time. They even did it on that show, Miami Ink, on the Discovery Travel. Some (dumbass idiot model who started crying) girl wanted the Japanese characters for peace tattooed above her ***. Instead she got the Chinese characters for peace the wrong way around.

Peace in Chinese is 和平 (her ping) and she got 平和 (ping her) which has absolutely no meaning!

The best part was that she was in tears most of the time... :nilly:
