Not trying to argue with you. The crabs are expensive and the demand isn't there.

I'll agree with you there.The one that I saw was nearly eighty dollars.

I think the crabs dont handle shipping well and have a low survival rate being shipped and that may add to the reason they are rarely imported.

What Sorts of species are their?
I know about the crabs like Platythelphusa sp. Potamonautus orbitospinus, But I know their are some shrimp, are the shrimp ever exported, or is it generally only the crabs?

Also has their been much success breeding these in tanks? I have seen a picture of some sort of Platythelphusa holding a lot of little juvenile crabs.
