Flattering but wrong in my book :) In my eyes I am entirely not above getting taught, schooled, or even reproached. We all can teach each other. This is #1 reason why we are here, I assume.

wednesday13 wednesday13 Rpul Rpul Thank you guys! I am glad I stumbled across your posts. I have one rescue niger that has remained at or under 2ft for the last 2 years, not growing. I didn't understand why. I thought something was seriously wrong with it because until that guy, ia had had dozens of nigers who got to 3ft easily in under 5years.

Rpul, they always all been same color for me, including the little guy. I'd like to get a kneri to compare but they are never in the trade.
Would it be possible to get some photos of this fish? (You can private message me then to save hijacking’s the thread) I have something I’m working on with the oxydoras. Curious to see if there’s something unusual about it.

I can’t say I’ve seen any of the “darker” oxydoras over in the U.S. on video/ pictures. We get them overhere in the uk on rare occasion. My old giant rescue being one, there’s has been a few over 4ft appear. funnily enough, a zoo brought a pack of them over here in the uk expecting 3 foot fish for their exhibit . They’re 5foot monsters (so I’m told) . I do have a video of them somewhere that a friend sent me. They’re a sight to see! I must visit them at some point.
Kenir have made their way into the uk, again on a rare occasion. Friend of mine had one for many year, bog wood collapsing in the aquarium saw its end. Max out around 10”.

You could see our little niger in every video of the less aggressive 4500 gal. Here is one from today where I specifically film it for you toward the middle / end.
