Looks great. Dorado are some powerful looking fish.

You're going to need to have a backup name ready in case he becomes a she........Roberta perhaps?? hahaha
Don't let Robert hear you questioning his manhood. We know he was a juicer, he may have man boobs, but to question his man hood? Just look at the Masheer! Obviously his chest expansion program is working as they're getting bigger, he's obviously motivating the crap out of them, just look at all the nipped fins and tails!!!

I'll grab some pics tonight of what I suspect are 3 hooked male Dorado fins..... Guess I can probably scrap the idea of seeing 2 Dorado coexisting in the same tank. Might have to look into plan "B" and see if maybe Robert wants to start training the toothy space monkeys.... Or Tigers in this case.

Just glad I have enough tanks around here I should be able to hang on to at least 1 of the Frankies, even if Robert hates him.

I just love how tuff Dorado are.... Gotta have something that can play with Wolves. I'll post some pics of the shredded Frankie. The guy couldn't hardly swim, but never even quit eating.

Holy crap, I had no idea dorados had such visible teeth. Man, I might have to think about another large tank for a dorado/wolf combo. That would look great.
Their teeth are nothing compared to ATF or Payara, but when you see what they do to prey, there's no question if there's any in there....

I highly recommend them just cause they are so much better about surroundings, kind of like Wolves. They know tank boundries, they don't dart and smash themselves into things. They don't rub their faces on stuff, they don't run into things. You could literally have little kids run up and beat on the tank and it's likely not going to be enough to spook one.

Once you've come accustomed to seeing the non stop swimming all of a sudden the "typical" pred tanks seem boring without the movement. They only stop swimming if something takes all their fins so they can't swim, then they wiggle till they can swim again....

You know, the only reason I shied away from looking more into dorados in the past was because I thought they were spazzes and would bash into tank sides. Thanks for debunking that, now they sound much more awesome. I think they've jumped up to the top of my list of wanted fish alongside an aimara. Not going to put one in with my goliath though, I'm not risking my ATF with anything.

I've had lots of Dorado over the years..... Some are much more tolerant of tank mates then others, and they are definitely a fish that NEEDS to be planned around, but of all the ones I've ever had I've never had a spazz. Kept them in tanks from 40 to 750 and even when you're netting them they seldom run into anything. The funny thing is the smaller the tank the smaller of circles they pace the tank in. Always doing laps, that's all they do.

Hmmm. It's possible. Too early too tell though I suppose.

Do either of the frankies have a nice obvious hook? That could help to tell with this guy I suppose.

Lol! Roberta talk is funny ... he is a beauty DB, look forward to seeing him at the 18-24 inch mark ... I've been busy and absent for a while, but I need to get a few pics of mine to compare tail hooks and such to help with this male/female thing ... mines got to be every bit of 17-18 inches

I'm inclined to think all three are males. I can see Robert's hook really well in that video.

Jekyll looks rough all right, poor guy! Bubblegum indeed!
