I have a question though..do I still need to give him a hiding place? He had a jar before but then he doesn't fit there anymore so i removed it as it was a waste of swimming space...

I'm With you Fish_Admirer, people just don't believe that people have the resources to keep big big fish.

1. cut
2. drop in tank
3. all is good
;)

I would go for something different than pvc, its ugly. They sell lace rock at the lfs for 1$/lb. Or sand would probably be more comforting than a hiding place.

Do you have one of those swimming pools that no one has used in ages and is now filled with gunk and moss and goo? If you do, then that's a perfect pond convert.

Just google Bakki Shower filter and you'll get the idea. I constructed a DIY cabinet filtration also, just visit my thread and you'll get the idea.

In less than 2 year's time, that thing could be maxing out at 24". You need to be starting to get to work on converting your pool, send me pictures of the pool, maybe I can help.

Inflatable? Nako, that' won't last you for too long. Consider the metal frame ones, try to get someone from the states to buy it for you and ship it here. I don't see S&R selling them anymore.

Btw, that Jardini is going to tear the RTC into shreds, before you know it, you won't have a problem in your hands. They make look peaceful one second but it takes only a few seconds of rage for the Jardini to snuff that RTC out.
