Okay gotcha! I've got a guy trying to get me some dorado in for me, and wasnt sure if I should do the high flow type setup that it suggests in the sticky. I'm seeing people are starting to have better luck with less flow (at least with ATFs). what do you think?

I think it is best for each keeper to pick and choose from the suggestion and threads on the forum. There are many reasons why people do what they do. This is an open forum and people can say what they want.
My reason for the high flow is for the filter. It is a pressurized filter with media that needs a certain flow rate for heavy loads. The system maintains pretty good water quality.

Thats pretty interesting, I like the idea of high flow but my atf was super skittish with the powerheads. How do you find the dorado to be in that respect? they look really relaxed in your videos

Calmer in numbers. That's why I do shoals. Only problem is people says they will kill each other when they get larger. We'll see.

I to bought five from Wes a couple months ago. The killing has already begun, I'll be down to 2 by the time I get home today. When I'm home I don't see the aggression, it's when the lights go off. I hope he doesn't start going after my mahseers once all the dorado are gone.

Do you have other fish in the tank? The killing may be from other fish. Dorado may fight with each other, but they don't do quick kill. They may died from injury, but it usually take days. I once kept small Dorado with frontosa. Every morning, I found a head left at the bottom of the tank. At first, I thought it was Dorado killed the small/weak one of the pack. It took me 3 days and 3 Dorado to realize that the frontosa killed/ate the Dorado
