Haha the school is not funding it, However i get the use of there tools, and the help of the teacher if i need it. Our shop sucks though, they dont even have a miter saw, or table saw. Also, if i dont get it completed, or it doesnt work, I fail my class, so I can promise you it will get completed. I have untill around april 26th. So It has to be done by then, however I want it done alot sooner then that. As long as the weather holds out, I'm going to work on the bondo, then start the drylok.

Is it vital I use a roller? Or can i use a brush to brush it on, scuff up the first few coats with sandpaper, then the final coat keep smooth?

i would not sand it im not sure how well the drylok will last if you sand it. just use a paint brush around the edges on the first coat and then us a paint roller for the rest of the first coat. then use a paint brush on the other 4 coats. here is a link to my thread with my plywood tanks and using drylock. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306248

Your thread is actually what inspired my design and to use drylok. I'm just worried about the edges bc there are a few gaps when put together, small, but any gaps with water I see as a bad thing. Thats why I wanted to use silicon along the edges. I'll try to Drylok it first, and if theres any issues I'll add silicon.

Is there anything like maybe drywall tape to put along the edges and paint over with the drylok? or would this be a bad idea?

use the bondo first on outside of the tank and push it into the inside of the tank and them whip the the inside down where the bondo comes threw so its smooth.

First coat of Drylok. Updates are going to be a little slow from now on. I'm getting the class cut next weekend, and dont have access to the school shop where the top tank is untill Tuesday. I'll add some more coats through out the weekend.

First coat
