Yes, I tell no lies when I say they are scarce... before I decided to do this,
I looked for a month at least trying to find them, at every dolla store within 25 miles of the house...
After all that time and gas I saw a need that had to be filled...I will always have enough scrubbies now...I got my lifetime supply, so I can share the rest!

sorry if this has been asked already, but are there ever problems with paint used on the scrubbers leaking any chemicals? i would like some for my DIY canister i'm in the process of making right now. how many do you think to fill a gallon (maybe a little extra too)?

The scrubbies are color impregnated, so no color to bleed.
They are an inert food grade plastic.
I would say what you are asking for is 40 scrubbies...
