I read an ad in my new aquarium fish magazine claiming that Seachems nourish was specifically designed for freshwater fish where a variety of thyroid related ailments are often encountered it says this is especially true among cichlids. 5 out of my 6 tanks are cichlid tanks. This intrigued me as its a combination of potassium iodine in a heavy base of spirulina and chlorella. Also it contains an assortment of amino acids and vitamins.

What do you guys think should I get it???

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :D

Seems like it'll quickly become a money pit if you are going to be treating all your tanks with this on a regular basis. Though, I've never heard of the stuff so I'm not sure how much/often its supposed to be used/etc.

You asked if we think you should get it...but do YOU think you should get it? ;) Any problems/concerns you're trying to address?

I haven't read anything about it but considering it is most likely the only seachem product you haven't purchased I say give it a shot. ;) Once you try it let me know what you think of it. :D

I know lol I am a seachem whore  They come out with a product and I just lay on my back and take it lol. You know what the funniest part about all this is ? I ordered some to try it :screwy::screwy:

I started using Nourish as a vitamin soak for the market shrimp I feed. I believe its a comparable product to Vita-chem and it happened to be cheaper where I order it from. I have only been using it for two weeks so no noticeable gains yet. I also use garlic guard and the fish still gobble up the food as normal dunno how nourish would affect feeding if used by itself.

Thanks for the input rdx1555!

Two months ago I bought a tiny bottle of Nourish to try out. I inject it into trout worms for my eel. It stinks and I haven't really seen any difference in my eel as far as coloration or anything like that.

hmm well its made for cichlids im curious if it helps with the symptoms it mentions.

I know it's an old thread, but I'm thinking of buying it. What was your experience with the product, and do you still use it?
