I just had an opportunity to see your video of them tearing up that catfish. It sucks that you had to let them go. :(
 
that sucks SG, personally I would have kept the channas. It looked like 2 brilliant specimens you had there.

there must be some pockets of jungle. did you see sgland's gallery?

micropeltes survingin in the city? never heard of them in the urban jungle.
 
The drains around the central catchment area and nature reserves have a lot of them. Canals also have them and are pretty easy to catch.

i have to travel 3hrs to a national park to go fishing for them here. and they're not easy to catch. it's all about equipment, because landing them is the hardest.

do they got monster sizes, like 5 - 8 kgs, in s'pore??

i've seen 3ft monsters at farms before.... Some exceeding 3ft... :WHOA:
