It's a female. The red one is a male.

Males have a lot more face markings especially between their eyes while females are smooth.

It appears to be female. But as you can see severums are hard to sex and people are going to disagree. Im saying female based on its lack of facial patterns, orange as oppsed to red eyes, and shorter more rounded fins( males usualy extend pass the anal fin).

It does have facial markings, its just stressed, when they are comfortable the facial markings go a reddy/orange colour, i know because i have a male right here who used to have nice red facial markings, and my male red spot keeps picking on him and its gone just like this one here.

Seriously no experienced Heros keeper will tell you that is female, female Efaciatus have no facial markings whatsoever.

Its Male.

Its not fricken female it has feint facial markings, due to stress/bullying/bad water quality...also its a pale lemon colour for those reasons aswell, my male gold is bright yellow with red markings, my female is a bit duller with ZERO face markings.

Female Gold Severum's and Green Severums have no markings on the cheek whatsoever.

agreed, females lack facial worming alltogether
