Should i buy the SRT?

My lfs has super red texas around 2" for $150. I personally think its way too overpriced. The owner said its not red texas cross with a parrot, but pure bred super red texas that will turn red as it grows older and never fades, it was imported from SRT breeder from thailand.
It has clear eyes(not red) and very nice pearls that are bigger than common green texas. However, It is not yet red, for 3" fish i see a little red on its gill plate. Is a 2" SRT worth $150?

Pictures would help. My way of going about buying fish is that, If I'm going to have to shell out a decent chunk of change, then I better know for SURE what the fish is going to look like as it gets older. With that being said, I don't think its worth it but you could take a risk.. and have it turn into something you'll like, or it will just stay unfaded.

To be honest, that little guy looks like a nice and expensive SRT

The seller uses a Red light. I can guarantee you that it won't look like that in person. The picture looks a bit altered(saturation) as well.

I went to his store, the fish is not red at all, they looked like the second picture. Obviously, its a different fish. Seller said real SRT do not fade, they turn red as they grow bigger.
I like it only because of the big pearl, but so hard to bargain.
