I know what you mean, me and my friend actually just went last night and they said that they didn't have anything that would work. They recommended that we go to PetSmart or Petco or something... lol

i went looking for parts the other day and one guy told me they made stuff for houses, not fish. I got a lil pissed at him and said some bad things and the manager asked me to leave. hey, i wont let some moron be condescending...

ive heard people make bulks from plumbing parts from lowes/home depot.
i went and looked all over and couldnt find anything.
so if ya can show or tell how you made them that would be great.
and sink drains are about the price of real bulks.
search before you post

I thought I posted a thread on DIY bulkhead fittings here but it turns out to have been on the dead board "Bichir World". I need to move it here. Part of that thread got wiped. I also used the same principle using a male threaded fitting and female threaded fitting.

In the lower left corner of this wet sump is a DIY bulkhead. The male threaded fitting is screwed into the female threaded 90 on the outside of the filter. When looks are important, the fitting that serves as the nut can be trimmed by screwing it into/onto the mating fitting and then putting that fitting on a piece of pipe to hold it while cutting the 'nut' fitting.

Here is another pic with them used extensively. You can see the outside of the brown filter where the female threaded 90 is. I also used DIY's on the green wet/dry at the bottom and top.

lol, your local lowes/depot knows you like they know me i bet :grinno:

i got some 3/4" pvc fittings and used an o ring.
if the o ring doesnt seal i will try something else.

in the electrical they had some cool stuff but cost more and was smaller..
:)
this is what im going to try, havent water tested yet.
more pics in my other thread "can post link if needed"
