Loach43: I was having a discussion with some peeps on PF about the eventual adult size of L191. No one seems to be able to find a picture of an L191 bigger than 7-7.5". I myself have one that is 6-6.5"

Likewise I've never seen an L191 beyond 6-7 inches. Mine is at about 6 now. Supposedly they get to be 10" tops. I can believe that since these likely live for several years. Most people haven't been keeping fish as long as one of these can live so that probably explains it right there. I've never seen a large one for sale at an LFS. Perhaps there are size regulations concerning exporting like they have with clown loaches (?)
btw, please point me to a pic of your L191. Would love to see!
 
Oh! btw, very nice looking pterygoplichthys ya got there artemis. I don't think you'll need to worry about the red devil bothering it lol.
