Well you seem to be the plec expert, I've seen it listed as a goldie, as an orange seam and as a gold nugget. All I know is it's beautiful, I don't really care what the "proper" name is :D

Goldie refers to L014, and is sometimes used as a mislabel to try to sell a gold nugget. Orange seam is held by the pleco L106. What you have is an L081 small spot gold nugget.

They also have quite a range, and some seem to be more hardy than others. I think L081 is said to include 3 or 4 similar small spot GN's. Either way it's a nice little Baryancistrus.

i love my golden nugget if I can find my stupid camera i'll take some pics before he dies. i hope to keep him alive for a long time though 50/50

My sailfin keeps the algae a bay, but man is he ever a poop factory! Still a baby but manages to cover the sand in poop in a matter of 2-3 days! :grinno:
