If you haven't had it long... might still be adjusting to new environment. I've had some fast up to a week before they were happy enough to start eating readily. There is that, or it may not like carrots lol. You never know, sometimes you get fussy/odd eaters. Is carrots all you've tried so far? They'll want different food types, check dietry thread.
