Show your Plecos Here !!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just got a new gold nugget pleco... he's only two inches. It's In my planted 10 gallon right now and is still acclimating. I am purchasing a 55 gallon soon and I am just wondering if he will out grow that. I'll show pics later when he comes out of his cave. Also how will he do with some fish that are his size, but aggressive. Thanks.

I would Suppose. Expecially since in florida they are non native and an invasive species. As long as you don't release them into the lake and only take them out. I jus put em right back in their holes since i dont have an aquarium big enough. My biggest right now is a 55.:D

Sweet! I love those plecos. I've heard, though, that they don't grow anymore once in captivity. I've only had one before, and it was quickly eaten.:irked: So, I don't know this from personal experience.

Her are the pics... he's doing great now. It seems like his colors are better than they were in the shop. Sorry that the pics are not the best quality...:(
lol took them with my mac book as you can see.

That sucks... they are sorta expensive:eek:

Fromwhat I have heard you are somewhat right. Not to many people see a change in growth over 2" unless they can be kept for a LONG time. then I think there is someone here who has a 8" GN Ok found it he posted pics here's the link http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163325&page=2

I asked one time if they could get a imported 12" GN and they said nope. to bad I wonder what the price tag on that guy would be.
