Absolutely stunning!
I just picked up 5 of these and hope at least one shows the same pattern as yours! I know they change color but I’m really looking for that rusty red center stripe!
I think that is their nature and mood; mine are fairly new but they seem to be settling in quite quickly. The aquarium is 8ftx4ft but they stay near the front and when i sprinkle in some algae-max they are quick to eat it so I think they are doing well - not shy at all - they just sink down into the substrate when not eating.
Sturisomatichthys leightoni, Sturisomatichthys. panamense, and Sturisomatichthys aureus from 3 different tanks.. growing out panamense fry atm.. bred aureus but with only 2 unsexed leightoni, no breeding...

I really thought I preferred them with yellow fins but this one with pure white fins looks amazing!
The fin is actually a light yellow orange.. hard to capture with my phone.. here's a couple pics I just took...
