I agree with kno4te. If there are other fish in your big tank don’t put him in there until he is better. Get the biggest plastic tote you can find, because they are relatively cheap. Do not fill it too close to the top, you don’t want him jumping out. I don’t know what is wrong with your fish but 100 ppm nitrate is way too high. Eliminate the water perameters as the possible problem first. Make sure he has a fully cycled filter, at least triple his water volume and minimize feeding and maintain healthy temperature (I call that 80 to 83 F) continue frequent (partial) water changes. By increasing the water volume and decreasing food you should be able to get those nitrates under control.

My 5 inch flowerhorn started to sink to the bottom recently and it had gotten worse these few days. He had been laying on the bottom and unable to swim above 10 inches from ground. He is still quite aggressive and he still follows your finger around ,he also still eats well.I had him for around 8 months in a 20gal(planning on an upgrade after he gets better) with a heater and a canister filter. He is my first flowerhorn, I don't know much about them. I did some research before and tried treating him with Octozin but it doesn't seem to be working. Please help.
Sounds like you flowerhorn has a swim bladder problem. If he's sinking to the bottom, yet still aggressive and still feeding.
