silver dollar not eating

ive had this silver dollar for about 2-3 days and nothing ive tried multipul foods but nothing. i moved him into a bigger tank and still nothing, although he does seen to be happier than before. what do i need to do to get it eating again?

What size tank? What are its tankmates?

Is it just a single silver dollar that you have? I know they are a community fish and do best in groups...not sure if being alone would make it not eat though.

My silver dollars have never really refused food. They tear up flakes and spirulina wafers (the red hooks are better suited for the wafers though since they have larger mouths). They also eat 1mm NLS cichlid pellets.

Give it a few days. I had a carpintis go about 2 weeks before it started eating.

try feeding it amazon swordplants.... lol
depending on what species it is, you could feed it some fruit slices... i know metynnis eat fruit.

If it is a single silver dollar, he needs some more friends (silver dollars ).
I have 4 silver dollars and they are eating machines. Although, I wouldn't be too worried about it unless it doesn't eat a few more days...it may just need to get used to the tank.

the fish starved its self to death. im not going to get another one until i can school them

I doubt it starved to death in 3-4 days time.

But yeah, its best to keep them in a school.

Was it in the same tank as the oscar and pacu?
