I think you have some of your info mixed up. Erythrinus Erythrinus is the rainbow wolffish/ high-fin wolf fish/ red high-fin wolf fish (all common names), and they reach about 8 inches or so. Hoplias malabaricus are known as common wolves, and you are correct, they can reach about 20". Hoplerythrinus unitaeniatus is another wolf that doesn't get extremely huge. They max out at around 14-16", but require a lot of swimming space because they are the most active of the wolves. They swim almost constantly. Good luck in your wold keeping.

So is the erythrinis available anywhere??

LFS? Depending on your location it can vary, but for the most part a lot of the online dealers have them pretty regularly. Check SharkAquarium. George usually has them in, and he's a great guy to deal with.

I don't doubt you are correct, as I said, I don't keep them.
My info came from the web and a couple sites called the malabaricus a rainbow wolffish.
Sorry to pass on incorrect info.
The size info on the others I listed was from fishbase.

Guppy, I wasn't trying to come across as a jerk if you took it that way. I was just correcting some of the info you posted. Sorry if my statements were misinterpreted.
