It is possible to still find them but it wont be easy and if you do track any down then expect to pay $$$$. :WHOA:
 
The prices of snakeheads in the US are simply ridiculous. I can't justify spending >$300 for some of the species that we used to pay < $50 back in the day. The legality issue here in the States has really skyrocketed the prices. I guess if you want it bad enough you'll pay for it.

I just got 2 of them... very nice. They are channa sp himalayanus , channa species Assam. It is in season now. Paid for SGD15 a pair... that will be about USD45 ~48 where are you from?
 
My buddy just successfully bred some rainbows/dwarfs. it took the sh several trys befroe they got it right...really cool fish
 
yea its facing west so he gets the sunset light thru his window. This is his first time that hes bred gachuas, he just seems to get lucky with the pairs, he has the force or something. I'm in the U.S.
