No its better later as the dogs ears will still grow when young. They may end up floping down

I plan on checking with the vet after his surgery....Apparently, SPCA(or the affiliates) will not crop ears......They being so Green Peace like, denied and actually had an argument with a friend of mine on over the cropping question....I may just skip his whole neuturing appointment and just get the rabies shots instead...LOL...The dog looks too good to not be bred....

Not neutering and breeding a dog that there is an abundance of just because you think it deserves to be isn't a responsible attitude. Nor will it be funny when he pees on everything you own. Of course SPCA won't crop ears. Most vets won't anymore either.

No question cropping is debatable. No one in the UK does it anymore. I don't see a problem with it when it's done at the right age and thought and care of the dog has been factored in. But overall you're making yourself sound like a very immature dog owner. You pose this question without even an ok from a vet or lining up someone that will do the surgery. Nor any research to what a formal breeder/written text says.

It is people like you sir with such little respect for your dog who should not own one.

cichlaguapote, isnt the reason no crops are done in the UK and a large part of Europe is because it is against the law? I hear parts of Europe, I dont know what countries, wont accept dogs imported if they are cropped, is that true?

You know many people crop the ears of their dogs for the dogs own benifet.

Thank you for your positive input on my questionable theory of such manner....I thought it would be somewhat of a debate....SOmething different from some of this stuff off of YouTube, I apologize to myself for making my influence on MFK feel a little low for this crazy topic...Yes I will neuture and most likely I will not crop....The family is against it verbally, but when I show the pictures of where he came from, they think "how pretty.."Again, since a baby boy, I was raised around $1800 Giant Snauzers and grew a likeing to the crop look....In direct response to cichlidquapu, I do wake up every morning at 7am to walk my preciuos pup....I then fix him a meal, and then go to school(college, not elementary)....With what extra money I get from my grants, I litterly spend it on the upkeep and what happiness my pup and the family gets from the investment I put into him...Whether it be a simple toy or some new food I read about from the pet diet book I bought because of him, I treat this young life as another family member....

I will keep the forum posted on his growth...Hopefully my camera will be available soon...
