We have 1 Butterfly Peacock bass, 3 monoculas peacocks, a Florida spotted gar and i was thinking about a Tiger shovelnose cat for starters.
For catfish, I personally would recommend something smaller, maybe one of the smaller shovelnose species, or even just a good old albino channel cat.
Plenty room for a “regular” run of the mill tiger shovelnose. P. Fasciatum is the most commonly sold in the trade. We also get the runts of the lot from food production. Even under the best conditions itd b hard pressed to grow one over 28-30”… much smaller, slower growing and less prone to eat tank mates opposed to a red tail cat.
Installed first layer of fiberglass along edges of the floor and tucked it into the seams.

We’re using epoxy resin to seal it all in. After the initial coats, we will either put tile down or use flat stones and epoxy over them. All wood will be covered in epoxy before we attempt to install the glass windows and tank top.
These guys will be getting a new home soon.

Whelp, the new well is going in as I type this. So I thought it was a good time to start getting the 24 oz. Woven fiberglass mat in the tank. The epoxy is on the way.
