Like i said before i was going to go with Discus a few years back , was going to setup up a planted tank with a large school of them but got put off the idea when i read aload of bad things about them , so i changed it to been Angel fish instead .

Most likely going to do the Angel Fish tank , as my Mum and Dad keep telling me they dont just want one or two fish in the tank and want lots of diffrent colouful types swimming around togeather . ( My tank they say and i can stock it with what i want ! But they still tell me i have to get lots of colouful fish and all diffrent types ) .

I do like the Malawi Tank idea alot myself , been wanting to do one for a while but never had the tank for it( or i do and end up using it for something else , like when i had to split my Red Devil up for my SA and CA Cichlid tank to a seprate tank for him self ) . I have told them that Malawi Cichlids have lots diffrent colours and are mostly all very brightly coloured and active fish , but they have said they are not really likeing them much as they all look the same and like the idea of having lots of diffrent fish swimming about in the tank more .

So now i think its time to have a look at the plants and other stuff i will need , i have done a couple of Semi planted tanks before about 3 - 4 years back but never had a fully planted tank ( hoping to plant ever part of the tank , and maybe try some foalting plants too ) . I have the lightiing , heater and Filter so it mainly the Substate's , Gravel and if i put Drift/ Bog wood in the tank or go with Rocks , but as i am planning on getting a few Clown Pleco i might have to go with the Wood . but i am still in the early stages of the tank so i have time to have a look and research alot on this as i still have to get my Trop' pond sorted for my Silver Arowana and put him in the pond before i can start buying any plants for this tank .

But if anyone thinks of any other idea on stock , and i like that idea i might show my Mum and Dad it and see what they say and try and convince them it's the better idea . :)

I do like the idea of have a couple of Clown Knifes , Ect which someon suggested before . But wouldnt they get too big for the tank ? ( 4x2x2Foot and about 100Uk Gal's ) .

I like , but what i can find on the 'net there max size is about 100CM , so think they will be a little cramped in the tank :( .

well I would say this, your mom and dad want lots of color and beauty in this tank

stock is a what I call a flitter fish tank lots of little guys ie) neons etc.... nothing that eats each other just five or so types of very nice colorful schooling fish and some of the smaller plecs that top out at 5-7 inch

Yer , been looking on the 'net and what i am thinking of getting what would please them them most are Angel Fish , large schools of Tetra ( Not sure what ones yet 2 or 3 diffrent types ) , Clown Pleco , maybe a couple of small Catfish ( one or 2 diffrent type of schools of Corys and maybe a couple of Twig Cat's ) and maybe some other type of schooling fish .

I think i posted up what i am thinking on getting a page or 2 back , please go back and see if the stock would work well or not , and suggest others please .

Edit found the list -

5-8 Angels ( not sure how many yet , will mostly likely be small/ young ones that i get )

A few Ram ( 6 -8 )

a couple of large schools of Tetras ( not sure which type yet )

a large school of one type of Cory or 2 smaller schools of 2 diffrent types

about 5 Clown Pleco and possible a couple of small Catfish ( something like the Whiptail or Farlowella Twig Catfish not sure yet ) .

Maybe a school of Danio or Rasbora .
