Alright folks! heres what i got for a menu; from the day a ray is born till full grown adulthood!

Pups! - black worms, tubifex worms, red worms, blood worms, finely chopped night crawlers (try-non Frozen). Everything cut to the size of a pee or smaller

Adolescences- Ghost shrimp, / earth worms and everything above ^

Adulthood - entire worms, Small fish, crayfish, snails, frozen fish too!, chopped up fish such as salmon and tuna,
STINGRAY SUSHI! and everything above ^

Rules: # 1 DON'T FEED RAYS FREEZE DRIED FOODS OR FLOATER FOODS! they may eat it... but they enjoy what i just discussed, plus real foods are much healthier too!

# 2 try not to feed baby rays frozen foods! their mouths are very sensitive and digestive tracks not fully developed,
anyways their still growing and need to eat hearty healthy foods such as the ones i list in '' pups'!'

# 3 leave a LITTLE bit of food lying around the tank perhaps under rocks or buried in substrate. the ray is constantly searching for food and this will give him or her something to do, until feeding time or play time! w/e may float your boat! for you super ray extremists!

last rule! variety! don't feed your ray the same thing over and over again mix it up! be creative!

ill agree... with the change of adding most frozen food. shrimp, prawn, and others.... whenever you can get away with not adding new fish to your tank... is better because you dont add parasites to the tank that have the potential of killing your rays, which in some of our cases are over $10,000 worth of rays in our tanks.

yah also feeder fish provide a vitamin b 12 deficiency as well as causing parasites. feeder fish also can be expensive to some.

What are these pellets u speak of? whats the name of the them and manufacturer. also whats in them and their purpose?

the pellets would be hikari sinking carnivore pellets... they have all the fats and protein needed. I fed mine this for a while but it made my water smell so i strayed away from it

i feed hikari sinking carnivore massivore and sicking cichlid gold( when on a budget or only thing available) all are great pellets

I find that you should feed MORE freeze dried krill. Carotene inside krill is a good source for vitamin A and from experience, it brings out colours more.

and feeding too many saltwater based foods is not good for freshwater fish... so this is why i wont feed krill... zoodiver explained it better somewhere....

yea i remember that too, it has something to do with the fat or protein is a different type then they are use to in the wild which can lead to fatty liver disease
