Don't buy such fish
Fish like any dyed fish are banned in the UK

The dye doesn't normally last long and you will end up with a normal silver aro in the end if the truth be told you got ripped off

Good to know they are banned there

ever heard of a dyed fish before but hey theres a first for everything, how dod people sleep at night cutting the fins off of fish and dying them?? there are some truely disturbed people out there, ive seen much worse things done to fish though as you have all probably seen in my SO CRUEL thread

If you want a colorful aro and not waist money go live in canada or out of the us.

If you want a "colored" silver aro, try colored tank lighting, probably more effective and much healthier for the arowana.

It looks dyed to enchance its blue, seen them before but not that blue

Kaliedoscope is right. I've had blue botias and just like any other fish, the color is stronger on some than others. Not dyed. Just ugly by nature.

I believe the botia above is dyed, blue pigment is too consistent throughout. The botia below is not dyed.

The two below are dyed.
