Dont feed after a waterchange with this tank. Feed before changing the water always. And make a schedule with waterchange at least 30% every day until 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 5 nitrate at tops. Then you can start skip one day so change every other day instead at least 30% keep nitrate at 10ppm at tops and feed onlu one shrimp at a time so you can control if the arowana eats everything you throw in the tank. And for the arowanas best get a bigger tank as soon as possible. You should have got it yesterday. They get large as hell. I have seen 100+cm arowanas in aquariums.

Yeah i tricklefilter with biomedia is the best thing possible right now for his tank. It doesnt have to be a fancy filter or expencive at all. The latest tricklefilter i built cost me about 30 usd to build. But then i had 70 or 80L of biomedia laying around so i didnt have to pay for that.
As adviced doing daily 30% wc and have fed the aro only once in 2 days, current parameters ammonio 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 20. Will keep doing this until nitrate is at 5 and will skip WC inbetween to check ammonia, also have added a small anubias plant in the tank.

Adding anubias is a good thing. But keep in mind anubias is a slow growing plant. Add some fastgrowing plants like vallesneria would help even more.
With this parameters it look alot better but you should build an tricklefilter to just to ad more biomedia to the filtration and keep the water heavy saturated with oxygen. Or if you are able to get your hands on some k1 fluidized media build a small in-tank k1 reactor out of a plastic bottle. Keep doing wc and dont feed heavy until you got the filtration figured out and working.

results look good..

how long after WC was the test...
Take a closer look at the testresults again. I wanna say that ammonia is 0.25 not 0. Its a grenish yellow not all yellow in the test tube.

i actually see it as yellow lol but you may be right too
And the nitrate is hard to see because its not showing 20 on the colorchart.
But then hey its better with high nitrate then high ammonia and i guess this tank is on its way to be stable again. He must ad something to buffer the ph and kh to keep that stable or this will most surtenly happen again.

After one full day of wc I took the test.
Thats a good sign. Kepp doing wc everyday. And monitor the parameters as told. Have a top roof on nitrate at 10ppm and you should be good. Dont exceed 10ppm at any cost. And try to buffer your ph and kh. I add bicarbonate to my water every now and then and keep oystershell in my filters to buffer the ph
