Suggestions for 2 barriers in a 125 gallon separating large turtles from baby turtles and fish

View attachment 1555683yup just made one for them today. While I was making it one of the yellow slider turtles climbed out of the tank and fell on the floor hopefully it's okay. Didn't see any damage or anything and it's swimming and eating as normal. I knew I should have lowered the water level but thought I could fix this egg crate thingy quick.

I tried the egg crate stuff once and it fell apart on me lol. I had an old aquarium and cut the bottom out of it and used that on top of the tank. Ended up building cross braces for it but it worked better than the egg crate stuff for me anyways. This is mine so far, gonna add a few bigger flat rocks to it but i think the stone should hold the heat in better. Lol gotta watch them, they are fast and sneaky, my guy is living in the bathtub til i get his tank finished so when we take a shower he gets to roam around and he has developed a thing for behind the toilet and has also figured out how to open the cabinet and climb in . Its a long story as to why he is living in the tub, long story short got divorced, my ex didnt take care of him for 2 years and got him nearly dead and moved cross country with him. Just so you dont think he has lived in the tub his whole life lol.

Also i am digging that alligator head, i have a smaller one.
