sunfish sexing

Cant help with sexing them but wanted to know where you got them

Hard to tell that young but I'd lean towards a female. As they get larger, males tend to grow larger and are more vividly colored than females. What creek or lake did you get yours from, I'm in southwest pa as well.
 
is there a big gap in aggression with males and females? this one is a handful.

Green sunfish are in general an aggressive species. My 4.5" female is the boss of her tank with 6-7" creek chubs as tankmates. Males can be complete terrors to the point of killing everything they see, though most individual males can be kept with other aggressive sunfish, they'll just most likely be the dominant fish in the tank.
 
he had pics up when I got him but he was way too small. pectrol and anal fins really colored up over the last inch of growth, that with his temperment is why i assumed male. I'll give him a couple more inches.
