Dear friends:
I am a new member in this forum and I have a lot of questions that expect help from you guys. Pls take a look at the link below:

According to what I know, in spawning the female shoot the eggs and at the same time the male aro shoot the sperm to fertilize them. If so, what are those two aros doing in the video? If they are mating in the video, does it mean that the eggs are fertilized before the spawning?

Hi, Castbug:

About your message, I am quite suprised about your message when you mentioned that most aros are female. Could you be a little specific about this theory?

Its acutallly not really hard. Just need to spend more time observing and if you are a knowledgable breeder.. you will realise there is alot more to breeding than sexing the fish.

I agree

Waiting on Checkjr's response to Hendri Leong

This is a good read! Plus the video of the Arowanas breeding at the beginning of the thread is phenomenal!!!

I hope you have good success breading Super Reds at your Farm. One day I would be thrilled to buy some if the USA ever legalizes them.

It still is a good read about Asian Arowana Farms.

Hi hatorhanzoe,
from what I gathered, there's a huge community for Asian Arowana enthusiast in Canada. But I'm not quite understand about 'importing ONE fish to EACH hobbyist'. Are you suggesting that we give away ONE fish for EVERY hobbyist in Canada to promote our farm? (cause that would be a lot of money :))

Me first, me first!! :grinno: There are a few of us aro keepers here in Canada but the price is still a limiting factor.
